FAQs | Nonni Travel

Q: What if something unexpected happens during my tour?

We hope your trip runs smoothly from start to finish, and in our experience, it usually does. But if something comes up, we are here. For questions, changes, or anything non-urgent during your trip, contact us during office hours by phone or email, and we will sort it out. For emergencies outside office hours, we have a dedicated helpline. By "emergency" we mean things like a serious medical situation, a road closure that leaves you stranded, or a significant problem with your accommodation. Our office hours and emergency contact details are included in your itinerary.

Q: What happens when I arrive in the Faroe Islands?

You land at Vágar Airport , which is one of the more dramatic airport settings you will encounter anywhere. Everything you need for arrival is set out before you travel: where to pick up your rental car, hotel check-in details, and what the first day looks like. If you have arranged an airport transfer, your driver will be waiting. A small tip from us: check the weather forecast before you leave the airport. Not because it will stop you, but because knowing what is coming helps you plan the day. On the Faroe Islands, four seasons in one afternoon is not a figure of speech.

Q: What can I expect from a Nonni Travel Self-Drive Tour in the Faroe Islands?

The Faroe Islands are the kind of place where you round a corner and stop the car because what is in front of you does not look real. Cliffs dropping straight into the Atlantic. A village of turf-roofed houses reflected in a perfectly still lake. A waterfall going sideways because the wind has decided so. You will want time to stand and stare. A self-drive lets you do exactly that. We take care of the rental car, the accommodation at places we have chosen carefully, and a detailed itinerary that gives you a framework without boxing you in. The rest is yours.
